Release
This press release was written by our friend Sarah Brown (former journalist and now PR Princess in swanky London) and will be sent to the Oxford media (local papers and radio stations) week commencing 14 April.... INTREPID
OXFORD COUPLE TO ATTEMPT 'MISSION:VERY DIFFICULT' Oxford
couple Ben & Sarah Casemore are planning a tandem cycle from Lands End
to John O'Groats to raise money for charity. The
intrepid pair are attempting the 950 mile round trip in aid of two
charities close to their hearts. These are Oxfam (Sarah's employer) and
Macmillan Cancer Relief, the charity which helped Ben's mum in the months
before her death. Ben
(30) & Sarah (29) of East Avenue, Oxford, have dubbed their trip
'Mission: Very Difficult' and have even set up a special website
www.missiondifficult.org.uk so people can donate online. They will be
setting off on the three week trip on April 28. Ben
said: "We're
a bit nervous about this as neither of us has ridden a tandem before. Come
to think of it, we haven't even done much cycling. "But
as both charities have such huge public support and are close to our
hearts we thought we'd go the extra mile (or 949) and demonstrate we mean
business." Neither
of the two have sporting credentials - Sarah works for Oxfam as a Human
Resources Advisor and Ben as an IT consultant for Accenture.
