Land's End to John O' Groats on a Tandem

 In a ridiculous game of one upmanship an Oxford couple are going ahead with a harebrained scheme to cycle the length of the country on a bicycle made for two.

Sarah and Ben Casemore are planning to make the trip in May 2002. 

Talking exclusively to this site, Sarah said "Well, Ben suggested it and I thought I would call his bluff by agreeing.  Before I knew it I had committed to going ahead and I can't back down now - I would never hear the end of it."
The trip is expected to last around 3 weeks and aims to raise money for Oxfam and Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Speaking recently, Mr Casemore said "I can't really get out of it because it was my idea.  The whole thing is a nightmare."

The couple both have office jobs, have never done any cycle touring and have only ever seen a tandem on television.
